By Law, the statutory duties of the Supervisor include moderating all Township Board of Trustee meetings, acting as the agent for the Township in all legal transactions, serving as the Chief Assessing Officer as certified by the State, serving as the Secretary to the Board of Review, preparing the annual budget, maintaining the records of the Supervisor’s office, and appointing some commission members. The Supervisor also currently serves as the elected official for the Township to the Southeast Berrien County Landfill Board of Directors and as a board member on the Joint Water Sewer Board. The Supervisor may also be tasked with non-statutory duties as requested by the Board of Trustees or residents.
