Buchanan Area Recreation Board

The Buchanan Area Recreation Board (BARB) consists of 7 members – One representative Board Member from the Township Board of Trustees, one City Commissioner, two city residents, two township residents and one “at large” member. The BARB is a joint board consisting of both City and Township members. The BARB was created to develop community relations related to a joint Recreational Master Plan and to strategize the most effective implementation of that plan to City and Township parks and facilities. BARB is committed to beautifying and upgrading Buchanan parks and facilities to promote a safe and healthy environment to serve all residents.
